A licensed insurance desk, and the tools that come with it
BLDAssure sponsors the Alliance and runs its insurance and bonding desk. Every member can ask for a free review of their general liability, workers’ comp, commercial auto, builder’s risk, and license, performance, and payment bonds.
Place at least one policy or bond with us and you become an Assured Member. You keep your free membership either way.

Who can join
- An active contractor license in any U.S. state, or a license application already submitted
- A registered business or sole proprietorship
- Agreement to the Membership Terms and Code of Conduct
What members agree to
- Keep your license active and tell us of changes within 30 days. Applicants don’t take licensed work until the license is issued.
- Carry the insurance and bonds your license requires, from any licensed source
- Let our desk quote at renewal: a chance to quote, never an obligation to buy
- Use Job Leads for your own business only
Code of Conduct
- Work honestly, within license scope and code
- Honor contracts, warranties, and payment terms
- Never present membership as a license or guarantee
- Treat members and the public with respect
What Assured Members agree to
- Keep at least one active policy or bond placed through BLDAssure
- Use Contractor OS and Job Leads for your own business
- Allow the risk data from Contractor OS to be used to place and service your coverage
- Benefits vary by state, as state law allows
Questions contractors ask
Is membership really free?
Yes. Membership is free for licensed contractors, with no fees to join or to leave.
Do I have to buy insurance from BLDAssure?
Not to join. Membership is free, and you can keep your current agent. To unlock Assured Member benefits, like Weekly Job Leads and Contractor OS, place at least one policy or bond with BLDAssure.
Is the Alliance only for one state?
No. Licensed contractors in every U.S. state can join. Insurance is offered in the states where BLDAssure is licensed, and Assured benefits can vary by state law.
When is Contractor OS available?
It’s coming soon. Assured Members get free early access at launch, and Founding Members are first in line.
Where do the Job Leads come from?
From new building permits filed in your area. A permit means a real, funded project is moving, so the leads are fresh. We filter them to your trades and service area. Assured Members get them every week, and Members get one sample report. Check details before you bid.
Do I need a license to join?
You need an active license or a license application already submitted. Join with either number. Applicants become full members once the license is issued.
What do you do with my information?
We use it to run your membership. We never sell it. Insurance outreach happens only if you opt in, and you can opt out anytime.
Can I cancel?
Anytime, by email. Any insurance policy or bond you hold continues under its own terms.
